EduCluster Finland's success is a result of a strong growth story. The expert organization was born in Jyväskylä in 2010 and built on the roots of the city's teacher training, inspired by the regional development in Central Finland. EduCluster Finland is based on the
integration of different areas and levels of education: in addition to the University of Jyväskylä, the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences and the Jyväskylä Educational Consortium are also owners of the company.
– As different educational establishments are doing academic work together, we are there to assist them in the implementation of commercial partnerships by providing expert services worldwide, says Jyrki Saarivaara, Managing Director of EduCluster Finland.
The company has been internationalizing fast in just a few years: EduCluster Finland has already implemented projects in more than 25 countries, and today, the company's turnover is generated almost entirely by international operations. The most significant project to date is the school established in Qatar in 2014.
– In addition to the Middle East, Asia and Latin America in particular have been fertile ground for education export, adds Elise Tarvainen, EduCluster Finland's Director of Global Partnerships.
